The internet is a wild place, y’all. If you’ve ever been on it, you’d already know that. One of the things it’s good at is spreading fads. Remember the ice bucket challenge? Or the cinnamon challenge? What can we say, we love a good fad. Humans are pack animals, and when we see a bunch of people doing something that looks like fun, we want to follow along. While the internet helps fads spread faster, it certainly isn’t responsible for every weird fad in human history.
If you need to think of strange fads, look no further than haircuts throughout the years. Remember when you were growing up and the coolest thing in the world was to have a bowl cut with a part in the middle? Or the mullet? Or the rat tail? *Shudder*… what were we thinking? Those were the days before the internet. But what happens when you combine the internet, fads and hair? You get maybe the strangest phenomenon we’ve ever seen, and that’s saying something…
