Are you feeling particularly down on your luck right now? We’re sorry to hear that. It happens to all of us from time to time. When you get in a funk, it’s hard to get yourself out of it. One way that might help is by putting things into perspective. Yeah, things aren’t great, but no matter how bad it seems, always remember that someone out there right now is much worse off at this very moment.

And no, you shouldn’t derive pleasure from someone else’s misfortune, and their plight doesn’t make yours seem any less severe… but sometimes their agony can be hilarious, and it can take your mind off of your own woes temporarily. Laughter is the best medicine, and sometimes that medicine comes at the expense of others. So go ahead and take a dose of it, because these peoples’ bad days might just improve your bad day just a little bit.
